Great page, perfectly executed. The blood trail from the pulling out of the IV is a nice touch, as is the earthworm. This comic really is the best of its genre. I generally don’t like this kind of thing. I’m with Riley: why don’t they stay fucking buried!” For various qualities (which I could list), I absolutely love FindChaos.

In panel 3, is the bug going into her mouth, or coming out? Not sure I want to know. (Yes, yes I do.)

looks like it’s going out, it’s antenna’s are sticking out. (or it would be walking backwards..)

On my screen, limited by my current vision problems, it’s hard to tell if those are the back legs of a spider, or the antennae of a bug.

You’re too sweet, thank you! And coming out of, unfortunately, haha! 😉 I know the panels can be a little small to see extra details up close, maybe we’ll upload some hi-res linework sometime soon! <3

Thank You, Darling Admins A & K! I have a bit of difficulty focusing on fine detail. Scar tissue on my retina from a brutal beating in high school broke loose, causing an obstruction to central vision. I’m getting injections into my eye, and the condition is improving. I’m still dealing with shit from high school, even 38 years later! Geez! Anyway, soon I’ll be able to focus better.

Also, are those scars on his face and neck?

As Locolollipop said, it’s simply insects or cheekbone lines. Usually if we add scars to a character, we make sure to color around them lighter, darker or pinker than the actual skin tone to distinguish them from detail/illustration-lines. For instance, on Arthur’s wrist-scars, which are visible in some pages, they have a lot of added coloring detail to them. Riley does, however, have a very light-colored tattoo on his chest. 🙂

I think the mark on his neck is one of the bugs crawling on him, and the marks on his face are just lines to show the cheekbones. Though it does look like he might have a tattoo or scar on his chest?

I think it’s the rose design; we saw it on the cover. Something to do with this woman, perhaps, because he buried her under them?

I’m quite a bit more like Arthur than I care to admit. Except for the violent homicide (ghoul-icide), and that I’m a little older at 19. I even had that blue hair for awhile. And because of that I want to thank the two of you for this great comic. The doctors told me i have severe depression and as dark as it can get, there are some few things that can pull you back to the surface. I spend time in fantasy, I suppose, to distract from my inner world, and the world the two of you created is one of the best and most engaging I have ever seen. This series wrenched me back out of the shadows time and time again, even when I became too afraid to see my friends for fear that they would judge me for what I am. But I couldn’t feel alone anymore when someone could write so thoughtfully about a character who is quite like me, and that you as the writers understand what it’s like. I was able to finally tell my friends, and they actually saved what was left of my sanity instead of crushing it. So thank you, I’m grateful to the both of you – it’s people like you who make the world truly keep going.
If you could, perchance, do me a favour though…. PLEASE make more, it’s such a great series but I really wish there was more of it! It would even be worth it to display ads on the site if it helped you to be able to make more comics. I will be sure to donate as soon as I am financially able, for this is a magnificently worthwhile cause.
I also thought I’d mention that though I’m an atheist, I really enjoyed your use of hebrew quotes, as the old T has some really sick dark parts. If your looking for some awesome harbinger warnings of doom and divine wrath on a, well, biblical scale, the books of prophets are a great place to look. There’s some seriously creepy stuff that goes on in there that is certainly past pg-13.

I just want to say Thanks again guys,

I aspire to someday create something that can bring meaning into other peoples’ lives as well.

    In fond admiration,

    Josh

      Hi Josh!

We’re really touched you relate so strongly to the comic, and certainly hope to keep doing it justice. A big part of our motivation for this story is the relatability of the characters and their struggles, even when they’re far outside the norm and trying to represent the sort of people that are hard to come by in mainstream comics. We absolutely intend to make more long into the future, and would love for finances to work out so that we can work purely on our comics. Until that point, we can at least certainly promise a reliable update schedule!

I’m glad you enjoyed the religious quotes! Between K and I, we have a lot of complicated views on religion, so representing so many different philosophies (and quotes) only seems fair. The world is a complicated place, and the symbolism people attribute to it, even moreso.

I hope the comic continues to help you feel understood and better about your own unique self. To know it has so far is one of the highest compliments someone could pay us! Thank you.
