Didn’t think the she meant literally grandmother ,I thought the girl called her like that because she was their leader or for some other reason. I thought she was some kind of voodoo witch or something like that.
Are… the comments before me joking or are there really people who didn’t realize Fragile was a vampire? I didn’t think this was something that was supposed to be a surprise.
I thought she had some kind of loa-based (semi-?)immortality, due to being somewhere between a priestess and a godlet. Everything we’ve seen her do has been along the vodoun/witchy side of things, rather than pointing to vampirism.
(If she had just been shown to be a grandmother, possibly many times over, and hadn’t shown evidence of clairvoyance/etc., I probably would have guessed “vampire” — but she’s always given the bokor/mambo vibe.)
I still think there may be more to this — I have a feeling that she’s not a vampire in the same way as Gaki’s little pet, or at the very least, that she’s not JUST a vampire.
This bloodletting may be magic-related rather than a traditional vampire feeding — the next page may contain some surprises. We shall see! 🙂

I’m just going to comment – those don’t actually look like teeth that are any more pointy than a fairly good set of normal human canines.
This may – in fact – just be a case of (magic-related) biting of a neck – no vampirism of the ‘VAMPIRE’ sort.
In all honesty I’d let her bite me anytime, she’s cute. Bet Mary gets blood addicted.
